I swear to god, everytime i study at that particular mcds i feel positive energy running through my veins. Its like i can go on and on writing my notes without stopping, and yesterday's record was a four. The crowd changes everytime but you do see familiar faces: the crew of course and some other 10ish muggers like me. Speaking of muggers, yesterday, ain & sarah were not there like always so i took over a couple seat. the language area was diverse: i could hear chatters of bahasa Indonesia, mainland Chinese lang, Jap & well, English due to of a mix of international students, tourist (jap visors!) and office workers. So i stayed till 7ish, made my way to nlb in-betweens to get additional information since the ones given to us were insufficient. While waiting for my parents to arrive, i decided to check out the new iluma mall situated right next to bugis street. It was very errr bare(so much unused space, i wonder if they're gonna do anything about it), not many shops are open yet, only the filmgarde looks promising. Will only go there again when the place is fully-opened.

Today: Mendaki (they had their SA1 math&english papers. I hope they do better than their pretest!). and more studying of course. This will be the last weekend that i'll be cooped up at home hence i am so excited!! which means i can finally make plans :)) yahoo~~~

meanwhile let's just focus on drama&childen's lit shall we?

Thanks to Liza for the final-wrapup for the Duri Production with the creative AWARDS CEREMONY. We'll stay tune and see whether the public screening will happen. tonnes of pictures available, below are the few i've randomly selected.
Sarah brought her dslr today to do a documentation of the day. Looking forward to the post.
Exam's starting in exactly a week and im seriously feeling extremely jittery. 5 papers and after today's exam 'briefing' for two papers, it seems like that is so much revision to be done :( i hate complaining about school but its really zapping up sooo much of my energy. who said being an undergrad was going to be easy eh?

Nevertheless plans for the month of May is what that keeps me going. hehe. chalet, trip out and less (bubbling). And i shall focus my attention to pracs because i want and need that driver status. PRONTO.

With no relevance to whatsoever that I have written before this. Just a gentle reminder to ppl out there to just STAY AWAY from other people's lives and have the decency to not say something just because you want to when you (jolly well) know its not the truth. Face it, their living a life way better than you, so just suck it up.

Sometimes i forget that life isnt as smooth sailing as i want/expect it to be. So when i was faced with a major obstacle the other day, it took me some time to swallow the pain and get my mental strength back. slowly but surely. im better thxs.

With reference to that day, the first person to call and msg was ____________ and ______, respectively. what a surprise!

Learning journey @ bukit batok nature park on fri was awesome. I love love outdoor lessons so this was definitely something which i enjoyed very much- minus the mozzie bites of course. we learnt about imagery, poetry upclose, an authentic learning experience. and how can we forget isk's delish nasi lemak!
that night @ KAP for some mcnuggets, fries, coffee & msg sharings. haha! thxs to the history function in phones.

shaheeda's bdae party: bollywood theme. bangles, indian snacks, om shanti om. Have a blessed year ahead!

Hello sunday, the day i've been waiting for this week.
Submitted Dr R's essay on friday. I was a lil off-target since i wanted to finish it the day before but just couldnt. blame the lack of discipline. Coincidentally all of us came at the same time to school to submit the 15pages long essay so as a form of reward we decided to head to b&j's, Raffles City. The guys tagged along too so that made it even better. It was great to see them opening up about stuff and i mean a LOT of stuff. hahaha! i guess no one wanted to head home yet and the conversations were getting more&moe juicier so we made our way to onefullerton for more cream&coffee :) what a blast!

sat: tuition, and there i was trying to distract them from the heat. the weather was getting to them, they began questioning why there were no fans at the first row, lights should be dimmed to emit less heat blah blah. The fraction quiz that i conducted really got them engaged in the lesson so i guess i should start brainstorming on similar activities for the other topics. School after for a lingustic seminar, Discursive Creation of Multilingual Spaces with emphasis being placed on individual capacity. very insightful. Got me thinking about its implication in classrooms, relevant to me as a future-teacher.
Made my way to downtown east chalet for AWAN's 21st BIRTHDAY. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU AGAIN! wacky train journey with sarah&ain. black&white. othello. they are not used to my presence in their super-long train rides! HAHAHA. and thanks for giving me clear directions to get there babes!

I would like to first express my heartfelt Sorry to several buddies for turning down their lets-head-out-calls. Blame my non-decreasing pile of workload and my many essay deadlines.

Thats why i felt guilty coz i was out till the wee morning yesterday. Planning to work on saturdays never seem to work for me. Tuition in the morning, Toa Payoh hub to get yasmin's bdae present, hospital to see kak ita's baby, nenek's hse(dad's side, i took time to get my hair cut love the hairdresser to the power of 3), nenek punggol for yasmin's mini-bdae celebration, mustafa for late night shopping with uncle. Mustafa was super packed(!) because it was apparently the last day of some mega sale. The heavy rain didnt stop people from making their way there. It was close to 2 when we left serangoon, tea&prata first at CMK.

So now here i am finding information on canon, Putu Wijaya and literary criticism.

two nights in a row spent in the school canteen trying to finish painting up our children books. Its tiring but quite fun la, since we have nice 'neighbours' around. HAHAHA. thanks for getting sushi too, totally made my day girls! Cannot wait to put it all together on friday, the end product.

You noe, projects are evil. They can really piss the hell out of you. Well, dont get me started on essays. The ultimate essay for this sem: Dr R's. Tell me, who gives a question that is a paragraph-long? It is due in a week's time so wish me all the luck in the world.
Pissed point 2: As a leader, you gotta show a good example to your comrades. Stop annoying me with all your lame excuses.

Time now 5.15- mentally exhausted.
Spent the whole sunday afternoon with shaheeda trying to do most of our project. Another project in hand, children's book which im getting brother to help me with it. Anw, he has the artistic flair, crucial for this megaproject.Next week will be meeting Dr R. so i need to catch up with my readings! Attended two academic sessions: one with Cikgu Maarof Salleh(kasturie commitments. yeay! because i attended that one) and the other with Cikgu Isha Latiff with regards to his book, Rona, which i truly recommend because of the twists he incorporates in his short stories. will get you laughing/ go wahliao!

Drama is getting more&more interesting. Prop crew informing me that I will be getting my bar. yeay! memorise script memorise script. abdillah's psycho scene was mind-blowing & sarah's confession scene VERY entertaining.

Major heartache this week-
Omnia Phone dropped right out of pants pocket. As a result, there was this blue patch on the screen i.e damaged pixels. Thankgod for warranty, i got it fixed within three hours.

Highlight of this week would definitely be pre-vday celebration with the gang: gift exchange & pastamania. THANK YOU FOR ALL THE LOVE. ainsarahfaezahnisashaheedaiskyunus :))

Stomach wasnt feeling good today so the first thing i did the moment i stepped home was head straight to the toilet and vomit everything out. Feel so much better after that. damn i wonder what i ate that caused this.

---weekend was a blast: KWB reunites! bro's birthday party @ granny's place, marina barrage after that, my dad brought a kite along and it was such a perfect timing to fly kites cause the wind was fantastic(the place is such a beauty too!!) and popeye's for dinner(yeay to cajun fries)

Quick update here-
1)This sem such is a killer& the fact is im not even halfway through it.

2)I miss a lot of ppl, how i wish i can meet every single one of them right abt now: Rin, Kart, DD, F4s, KWB(!!), sidedish(i dunno why today) and the list goes on.

3) I lied to get away from a meeting and drag a friend to lie about it too.

4) Finally presented the project that I did with 'ain. The different places that we ventured to just to complete it including the person from spain whom i made friends with while waiting for 'ain the other day. Interesting convo i had with him. Anyway, Thanks babe for being a great project partner :)) Time now for the essay!

5) Got bro's birthday present from the science centre shop. He is so into mechanics& thinking games, at every opportunity he'll want something that can add to his ever-expanding collection. a physicist/engineer one day? hmmmmm.

6)Congrats to sis as she'll be starting a new phase of tertiary education at RP specialising in Business Applications. Buck up on your typing skills first though, heehehe, you have 3 more months to practice!

7) Another project meeting@starbies citylink today with sarah, nisa & 'ain. After we were done, the rest moved on to do other things while i took the time to read practically every magazine available at the mag rack as well as today's paper- New trends, govt aids to help sgans during this tough period, china's growth despite the ecomonic downturn. After all that, we walked with a mission in mind, preparing for tmr's event. Ladies, i still have that scent on me! We are obsessed with GAP's mixed perfume for men, crouching low right at the perfume rack, spraying from the tester bottle over and over again. The scent is insanely good!

8) Speaking of men, it brings me to the issue of lying. Should you or should you not tell. Who's going to get hurt in the end?

9) Packed weekend but i have to remember to collate the slides!

Just a spur of the moment, i decided against wearing my normal tudung, in the normal 'triangle manner' *looks at shuk&E* and instead opted for a black shawl with a brown turtleneck top. I must say, i felt quite comfortable donning it minus all the minor errors that i made at the beginning. remember practise makes perfect!

The trip to Kota Tinggi waterfall was tiring. It took almost 4 hours by bus bus bus cab so by the time we reached there the family was bussick? because we kept falling in and out of sleep. That place is definitely more for people with transport, a whole lot more convenient. But nevertheless, it was all about enjoying the cold waters & relaxation with book in hand.

Apologies to Rin&Eyesex about saturday! i swear i was soooo ready to be there but those last minute plans just had to happen. yessss, GG as a payback E& i like the way you look in picture no. 12 rin, i tink its your hair!

The whole day at my(and now 'ain's too!)favourite urban haunt to complete a major section of our project which we will be presenting next tuesday. so looking forwayd to that so that it'll be one presentation down! The music selection was awesome, it kept up with 'ain exactly at the right timings. spotted: a skinny girl finishing off 4(!) mcflurrys. Imagine the amount of cream she consumed! we are so shocked beyond words, she was either too hungry, depressed or loves mcflurry a little too much. still figuring.

Everytime i see a friend cry, i just wanna go up to the person and give a big warm hug, telling him/her that everything's going to be ok. I may be a private person but im definitely willing to be a listening ear and with no doubt, express exactly how I feel about issues.

Aaaaaaah. it seriously feels good to finally have the luxury to rest my legs on livingroom sofa. quite literally because this week has been quite a rush. Packed week with plans back-to-back.gym&swimming with the ladies, dinner@amirah's grill with pj ladies, hadh&fiza. Friday movie, BRIDE WARS!! with F4, the first for this year and unbelievably we didnt catch a single movie together in 2008.

Someone needs to kick me in the head because im developing this habit of finishing off only half of my readings and stoning/falling asleep during tutorials. I just pick selected paragraphs, trying to solve the bigger picture and then in class my brain fails to function. although i doubt this would last because i have a feeling im not gonna get away with this any longer.

school school:Which brings me to the subject of punctuality. ok so fridays has been set aside for project meetings with 'ain over at bugis. Last week we left tongsen after lunch and was late for lesson. And so we took extra effort to leave slightly earlier( skipping lunch this time) so that we can reach school on time. But luck wasnt on our side, we had to make a train-switch at outram and 199 was about 20 mins late. so annoying! At that moment every second counts so 'ain came up with this brilliant routeplan to get to the tutorial room in the fastest time possible. We had to guiltily run through a large grass patch, climb a flight of stairs, mind you, 'ain was in her maxi dress almost at the brink of giving up and there i was shouting for her to move and not to give up. and we did all that in 3 MINUTES FLAT. i swear that was a first. This is never to happen AGAIN. dangs.

on the school subject still: apparently i have a voice-twin in school. Technically the probability of something like that happening, in the statistic world, is like one in a million? or maybe im just oblivious of such things, fill me in on this people. ANWS, voice-twin here means having the same speak-style, tone, catchphrases etc. So the thing is, i've been hearing from people that i have the same voice as yati, this lady in my lit class.(on this part, after a while my closest ladies said that they can still sense slight differences). Apparently it was clearly proven when on one particular day, during lit discussion, so happened, me and yati spoke at the same time and everyone got confused on who was the one speaking. like an omg moment. another occasion on mistaken identity which i do not wish to elaborate here. Thus we decided to settle this once and for all with a social experiment over at the bridge busstop, we have not came up with a finalsay as yet but the bottomline was 1)we sweared the same way 2) she's a huge chocolate fan too.freaky eh! Nevertheless, It all ended well with a friendly handshake and watch this space for more updates. I'll be opening my ears more from this moment.

gym&swimming: i feel so recharged after gym sessions and the term support group popped up while we were lazing around in the wave pool. the things we shared, the questions we ask and the quote-worthy moments we have at the end of it. haha! and mygawd, 'ain's salad was to-die-for. i officially reign her the salad queen.

pj ladies: unfortunately we couldnt get the rest but i enjoyed the night very much despite it being just the three of us. hadh was showing off her photography skills taking shots of every corner of the place, more reasons to do so because the place is magnificent. it felt like i just stepped into a museum. to more meetups! :))

The initial plan for a bowl-out was conveniently replaced with bride wars because we couldnt miss out on a perfect timing for a personal must-watch movie. Its hilarious as hell, i can still remember the smurf joke liz's husband came up with. and of course, some got teary-eyed at the end (looks at deeyan) because you get that dream wedding (and your best friend back after almost losing her).

i never dread saturday mornings and looks like this year will just be the same.

i should really learn to reduce the amount of weight i carry on my shoulders. Woke up with a sharp pain on my back this morning after carrying a loadful of items around toa payoh yesterday. The reason being, Me&sis had time to kill before parents came to fetch us for dinner hence we used the time to check out the toa payoh hub. It still has that special vibe that u get old housing estates. It was a feast for the senses: We see plenty of chineseherb shops filled with people grabbing essentials for the upcoming CNY, intoxicating smell of freshly-baked breads and so much more.

School's okay so far. Im trying very hard to plan my work schedule so that i won't be like a mad hatter towards the end of this sem. Its very crucial since we have 6 modules this sem. The only sucky thing is that we have a sucky wednesday because lesson only starts after 530(!). I hope to do something productive before that. Oh yah, did i mention that we are taking a drama module this semester and my initial excitement of being part of the backstage/lighting crew has just burst because i have a role. i repeat a role. dangs. let's see how this goes. new lecturers, same -othermodules-classmates. and how can i forget my ladies- we've been pretty much on the ball this two weeks, squeezing a few activities besides school-related stuff: like gym(which next week will be my first for this yr), bazaar and jp shopping, hanging out, sneaking&running towards our lecturer for a ride home, me&ain running for class hand-in-hand(well, almost).

Been wanting to try wii for the longest time and who better to drag than my two male buddies. Gaming is so not my thing, but it doesnt hurt to try something new once in a while rite? Apparently, they were pretty blank-faced and reluctant when i told them about what I had in mind: cine for wii. Of course, they had to give in at the end. We surveyed and decided to dive in straight for guitar hero: the AEROSMITH version. wanted to get one of the rooms but its double the price for one of the spaces in this cage-y area. I won the first four games against them. HAHAHA. ok ok, i have a slight advantage since i've played guitar hero before. ONCE. Shuk earned the first place standing followed by yours truly and lastly eyesex.It was all about focusing and WE ROCKED IT OUT I MUST SAY.

You know the girls, they are really sweet to organise a surprise, demure party for me. The rich-and-famous theme: magazine collage, lots of blair goodies. TEEHEE,chocolate(!) buffet@ fullerton. (SHOULD HAVE SEEN MY FACE!).staff&them singing for me (two) birthday songs, a specially-made cake which had marshmallow in it and such great company. It was such a wonderful night. Pictures taken at some exotic country always make the people in them look extraodinarily pretty. The magic of it all! i want, i want to land my feet on someplace fine&amazing: monaco, turkey, france. anywhere! So that means, saving and having more control over my finances. let's make that my new year's resolution for 2009.

That, among many others. But the bottomline is, i wanna be a better person, cherish the loved ones around me & make sure that i put in my best in everything that i do :)

NYE's afternoon was spent over at KGMS for another meeting among the committee. Among the stuff discussed were the trip to KL, upcoming practicum workshops and things like our committe mission&vision&logo. The meeting's focus was more about establishing the committee, creating avenues for the school to be aware about our activities. Everything's progressing well i must say. And me and sufian are the official logistic officers, so gotta step up!
Met sis in town after that, and we have now found a new place to hangout. Its a very open place but i enjoy the music & it has great seats and thats more important for me. Surfing and we had cups of vanilla latte and mango smoothies. We wanted to chill till New Year but already promised to catch the fireworks as a family. Parents picked us up together with cikyah&ciklut(the aussie family). Mygawd, their kids has that very prominent aussie accent. We couldnt keep up! every sentence ends with that yeeaaaaaa. The whole marina/esplanade area was so packed we actually chose a spot from 10ish in case it gets even more crowded. HAHAHA. So we just sat there on our mats, people-watching till the clock strikes midnight. Magnificent fireworks, it definitely was a spectacular view :))

I know, its a lil late but yes, finally caught twilight with the two guy(eyesex&shuk). Its crazzzy i tell you, us and the many (cheesy/random) lines we picked out along the way.The movie's good btw although i gave a slightly lower rating than the guys.I must say, Robert definitely looked great on the big screen. As compared to the recent pictures of him i've seen on the web.

I havent read any of the books though, should start real soon. Speaking of books, after the movie, we headed to borders where Shuk almost wanted to buy the first book but decided not to at the last minute. The other three books were sold out, mind you!

the worst thing happened in bangkok: my camera failed to function. Over-exposed images. Imagine how irritated i was. Thankgawd for camera phones.

Bangkok was amazing. The people, sights and SHOPPING, of course. We had very comfortable flights to and from bangkok by swiss air. The inflight service& entertainment were great, altho i only managed to watch part of dark knight since its only an hour and a half flight. I like it how everywhere we go we are greeted by 'sawadeeka!' complete with a smile. Very warm and friendly :)

We stayed at Asia Hotel, situated at a strategic location since its not far away from pratunam, only 40 mins from the airport(tts pretty near in thai terms ok), and its connected to the bts train station which means convenience for us to travel everywhere. there's also two muslim stalls nearby which saves us the trouble of looking everywhere for halal food. even though we were on a free&easy package, there was a one day tour: boat ride along chao praya river, we get to see beautiful temples and houses-on-water, a mock floating market after which we went to a gem factory fact: thai's the biggest producer of rubys&sapphires. and the next two days was basically venturing out on our own, with a map in hand, to various places namely shopping at MBK, one of the biggest mall around, pratunam and or course, Chatuchak market where we mastered the art of bargaining and finding our way through rows&rows of shops. and how could we miss the tuk-tuk? one hell of a ride.

Sat@12pm was at the cck gym with my gym buddy, nisa to sweat it out before we made our way to the MDIS unicampus for contract signing. BAD decision to go without having food first because we were starving and it was excruciatingly painful to go through the draggy talk when you're feeling super hungry. And that we after boarding the wrong bus and having to walk a distance to get to the place. so ulu-fied. Nevertheless, we survived all that and manage to get prata from a nearby new-fashioned coffee shop. HAHA! and nisa started to feel depressed already coz she has to miss the trip to airport. ehem.ehem.

Parents fetch me and we made our way to tg rhu for mum's celebration part 2:

I had a long chat with Sir Yong(yes i still do call him Sir) over at fb today. And yes, i can picture Rin rolling her eyes right about now. Apparently, i have this strong affinity to facebook these days so that explains the many things i do over there, this conversation included. I dunno, sjab has been this bittersweet phase in my life so maybe that was the reason why i didnt mind talking all about it again with siryong and even mentioning names as we went along. I even saw the one picture that our corp took together in full-uniform and there we were, viji, rin and me standing sidebyside in the second row looking smart and proud. One of the better days, i must say.

ANWS, its mum's 44th birthday today. As i mentioned in the previous post, she's still as hilarious and funky as ever. As they say, age is just a number and she's a true reflection of that :) We had a small celebration at home yesterday and today we had dinner over at Breeks@Harbourfront.

In times of recession, i feel horrible because i put a 60 bucks lesson to waste by choosing( the word here is choose, because i was awake at 745 when the alarm went off but my laziness got the better of me) to go back to sleep. SO now, i wun be able to advance to lesson 2.7 and its all MY FAULT. My next lesson's on Monday and its at an earlier timing so i better make sure that i make it on time.

I realised i've got so many things to think abt/do. Travel agent called earlier to say that the tixs are ready for collection, again, i hope nothing annoying happens within the span of these two weeks otherwise i will just pull-my-hair-out. cake-collection later this afternoon for mummy's birthday: she turns 44 tomorrow(she's still funky as ever). MDIS signing on saturday, hope to make it there with nisa or i will be a loner.HAHAHA. Sunday: Sentosa with F4s plus liana and hani and i hope the weather will be nice to us then. we got crushed, leaned, stepped on, shae's specs went haywire, i-dunno-the-lyrics moment, so embarassing. kept banking on the model issue. undesirable pics: bald patches and bloated dresses, triple dangs! tonite,Met cik karim's and uncle dolah's family at tg rhu to celebrate cik karim's bdae. night-picnic style, tapau-ed food, got tea tarik even, snacks and even a portable table courtesy of daddy. before that, me and shae spent the whole afternoon around bugis and town in search of mummy's birthday gift. Its so crowded everywhere, so annoying! We finally settled on a bag and i even managed to snag two tank tops from MANGO. yeay! also, pre-ordered some stuff we need for the upcoming bash. pretty psyched up about it actually with everything coming together slowly. which also makes me think bout our trip on the 19th, im keeping my fingers crossed in hope that it'll happen after being brought back to a later date. It should've been yesterday, it should have :(

Oh yes, on thursday, me and fellow GG member, faezah(!) attended the guys' bbq at pasir ris park which started waaaay later than expected because there was a slight drizzle that night. Thus, to kill time we got donuts(yummy cinnamon)from cwp and ventured round cold storage discovering things that we never knew existed. haha! our own bbq aaah, you and me. heh. We couldnt locate the infamous bridge that we always land at everytime we are in tampines instead alighted a stop earlier. Thank god we managed to find our way there to join shaheeda,the lady who had a little background story to tell, soiled clothes and more. Oh yah, for the guys, CONGRATS on winning second place at the band competition! you all really deserved it. you can have whatever you like~~~~

Helping out at the practicum workshop wasnt so bad after all. The gang-bang got busy from as early as 8. Hanee and me were delegated as facilitators in-charge of fooood. My all-time favourite! HAHAHAHA.
Technically we were enjoying ourselves more but that is after we got the food set-up ok. At the alc room, we managed to squeeze in two full episodes of ANTM and got hooked to the 'heeeeeeyyyy~~~~' .tomorrow i forsee another round of that girlfren!

Seriously i couldn't like bloody stand the instructor today. He certainly pissed me off. The snobbish attitude, the sniggers upon my every mistake and the issue with my blind spot checkings. OMG, like wth is his problem. He finally demonstrated what i actually needed to do after a full load of crap and then i went like, 'oh i finally understand what u want now, i get the idea', stomped out of the car into the driver's seat and just put on that i-don't-bloody-damn-care look. Only then did he stopped his bloody nonsensical behaviour and had no more reason to scold me. The next time i get him again i'll make sure he's presence wont be acknowledged.

Its great to be spending time with bro- the one who's so into science and gaming and all so imagine how excited he was to be in the science center, what more the IT section. Had a chance to experience 3D gaming.

Monopolised by maria&hazwan-they study the book leh. That leaves me, rin, faisal & Marya in Team A, obviously lagging behind. A proper point system(!) was established and by the end of the night, the invisible hermoine badge belonged to maria. HEHHEHE. Its great to catch up with the rest and wahliao how can i forget the food??!!! esp shuk's fried chicken, the best! so juicy& crunchy. My emotions get all welled up inside and the danger is, of finding out in the end, that i did not handle the situation well. I must say i felt so much better when someone else had the courage to say something about it. I have been very busy(!!!) these few days. trying to get go beyond the introduction for my essay. WHY ARE INTRODUCTIONS SO HARD?! Raya preparations swinging by, got the stuffs i needed already i.e, baju kurung, shoes & bag. The biggest makeover for the hse this year would definitely be the change of wallpapers:i hope we'll be able to make it on time though. Such a long and tiring process, makings of a contractor-company.Beats repainting.

ANWS, despite sarah thinking that we have forgotten her bdae(teehee) actually we already started with the planning like eons ago. We had an earlier meetup in fact to work on her presents: DIY-style. It was such an artistic process working with basic items in hand. I must say the fight we had with the IMM management was the dramatic turnof event we always get doing stuff like this. Despite an earlier hiccup, we had a celebration garden-style. Not everyone was able to make it though, coz they were down with flu and upset stomachs. It was definitely due to SEOUL GARDEN the night before. Raw food and too much ice-cream? We had a late night also, hanging out at starbies till 11, laughing our asses off over weird revelations esp from the guys right after venturing into the F1 track. We walked all the way thru the track, bright lights ya'll.

the Yunnan Garden@ NTU is such a beautiful place. Despite a full academic year, i have yet to set foot there until yesterday. that wasnt the original site though, we thought of it after all the rooms in the uid were fully booked for the whole day. bummer. A whole lot of lies. period.

two hour class today.As usual we didnt want to head straight back home after class so we sat around. The most bimbotic moment of the day:

We shunned away from the heat by walking around in the shopping centres instead of bazaar. Shoutout to cuz ain who was happily observing me from afar, cheers to champagne black colour-code this year! Going again this weekend with the fam to get our bajus hopefully :)

As i was crossing the road towards the national library, I noticed many fingers pointing towards this figure walking towards me. Apparently, it was a guy with this huge sign over his torso which reads: Hi, my name is A____(its a mly name, but i cant rem exactly what), I turn 21 today! Blindfolded, he was dragged by this lady with a videocam on her other hand. Cheekily, she told him, to wave at the cars waiting at the pedestrian line and at us too! Hilarious shite, im sure that video's appearing on youtube soon.

I have been doing a lot random shopping these few days which indicates my high level of escapism from school work.

We went to angah's place to buka. me and shae were super late because that lady doesnt noe how to plan her time properly. She only reached bugis mrt at 645 when i told her be there by 6 and so i was pissed. Mind you, we still had to make our way to simei.

Meet ika&qazim& it was a childcare centre theme with all the kids running and screaming and us forcing them to take pics with us.HAHA.

And i cleared a level on GUITAR HERO! woohho. awan just bought the kit yesterday and its just like how i see Ellen play it on her show. Encik A will no longer be in school, he has a permanent post in NUS and this semester will be his last. Such a bummer. I am so gonna miss him and his man-bag and his cardigan and sneakers. How he used to scare me with his random ques that i CANNOT seem to answer because I am NOT SPONTANEOUS enough. On being given singing assignments and he just have to shame us all by playing the record in class and sniggering while it is being played. His sharp remarks and his paranoia of us laughing AT him, his handmovements everytime he wants to send a point across. His red adidas tote-bag and the word 'fetish'. OMG, i sound like a stalker who has been taking notes on his every move but puuhh-leeasseee, im definitely not the only one. He has a fair share of fans too.

Isnt it funny how when we wanna hide something, it always seems to wanna reveal itself?

ANW, today me& shaheeda kickstarted our Critical Theory Project on which we are given the task of presenting on new historicm. Good progress for the day. It is hard to find the weaknesses&limitations of the theory though because those we found seem to contradict the strengths we have. hmmmm, which means more readings and research. Too much complains on projects eh? cant help it lah, have tonnes more to do including another one added to the list today. pfffffft.
Out of boredom, during our second tutorial, the subject of palm reading came about. Looking at lines that indicate the number of bfs you would have, children, whether the guy would be gd-looking(HOHO, faezah's reaction was classic over this one) and your life-span. Of course, i do not believe them, if only it was this easy to predict. And nyehehe, aint gonna reveal what i found out today.

Of sleeping in buses& trains, receiving a delicious cold dessert last night and sitting down to talk about a death-defying accident& confidence, more workload and cramped deadlines, more arashi vids, discussions on feminism and weird terms, first buka over at ntu, retail therapy with ain= funny incident in cotton on which involved ripping of plastics& being questioned where we got an item from= familiar dresses thus deciding not to buy any, bumped into ICT tutor who added me on fb, practise back at bb, completed online postings, working on next project.

With our PublicService cards in hand, we got our complimentary tixs and went on board the flyer, hearts jumping in excitement. The view was nice and the best part for me was, when we were at the maximum altitude. That feeling of being on top of the world. While the thing was moving real slowwwlyyy, everyone was like in their own little zones. One whole complete turn in half and hour, we later made our way to esplanade because I wanted to get a poster from Popcorn. The piece that I wanted to get was oos, so made my order to be collected on another day. As If the time spent in that cubicle together wasn’t enough, we sat down and played charades at one corner of the esplanade concourse. HAHAHA, madness. Title of songs and movies, trying hard to make the other team lose by giving the most difficult one who can think of.

GG's back! and the drama is definitely back too.
Dan&S got back together, Serena's dating a LORD, HOHO, chuck wants her back but he cant say the 3 words,8 letters, so there goes his chances of getting her back.

Okees, so as everyone would have known, im not a HUGE fan of Hanayori-dango like my girlfrens are but they have been feeding me with lots of information on the show inclusive of clips and songs(one which they sing whenever we're in kbox). In preparation for today's screening, watched the dream date episode where someone gets to spend a whole day with Matsumoto. So hilarious. The woman who won had random facial expressions and seemed so protective of him. So today, ainfaezahnisa&sisme caught the 140 show at cwp. And boy boy, was i walking on air throughout the whole show. There was an unexpected twist to the show which really caught me by surprise but not for faezah. We were practically holding hands during the awwww moments leading to the martimony. The best part of it all is watching Arashi(oops, the cast) on big screen. :)

Yesterday, i was, in the gals-terms, KNOCKED-OUT. I had only 4 hours of sleep the night before because i was helping bro with his project and trying to add finishing touches to my essay. So what happened was i actually slept in uid during our 4 hrs break. Sleeping in a chair was pretty comfortable i must say. Woke up in time for AED lesson, and after that, went over to granny's place to break-fast. Promised myslef to sleep the moment i reach home so taaadaaa~ i feel so refreshed today.

I just watched videos of Sabby and her trio performing at the raya Bazaar over at her blog. They're goood!

Suddenly when i look at the deadlines in my calender, this wave of panic starts to sink in. SO many assignments to complete!!! Better start being serious and do my readings. pffffft.

Let tomorrow's HANA YORI DANGO movie be my final guilt.

Quick quick update.
Let's seee, today's the first day of the fasting month and so far everything's going smoothly. :)

Awfully boring lecture at the start of the day, i didnt pay attention at all. Busy playing tictactoe and some stick games, doodling and constant sighing in hope that it'll end faster. tsk. following lecture was alright, trouble absorbing the new theories though. hmmmmmm.

Teacher's day gift exchange today during the time where we had an hour break in between classes. The guys got confused over the instructions so they were just watching&receiving gifts. My secret partner was: SHAHEEDA! thanks gal for the wonderful perfume, sarah for the sweet note and i gt faezah another PEROCHE to add to her collection. Reaction- priceless. hehhehe.

Sense of achievement: getting better and better at multitasking. I can check my fb, hotmail,print notes AND file notes(this is impt), update my blog and pics PLUS bloghop, browse through some online shops,do some readings, clean up the mess on my table. phhhewww. I hope this continues for some time.

As the previous F4 meeting was called off due to health reasons, met them on friday after the introduction session held by the dept. Basically, totally forgot that there was the COMEX event at suntec and baybeats at esplanade so the crowd was crazy. Since me and shuk were early we got dee's cake and stop by COMEX since he really needed to purchase a thumbdrive. I saw discounts like $15(!) laptop skin, including free service to paste it on, card readers at awesome prices but we only had enough time for the thumbdrive purchase. bummer.

Haz came later and was gushing about the projector that was retailing at a very good price. Dee was late so that gave us sufficient time to look for a perfect spot for the cake-cutting. We ended up behind the baybeats stage (background music provided), overlooking the bay. Nice ambience i must say. Dee came- presents and cake. The cake from chocz was delish!!! hehehhee. Hungry, thus marina square for ph. Oh yah, i we managed to have the battle of the fingers, current standings:

1st- me!! hahahha. One rank up from 2nd place.
2nd- Legolas. No more Mr Last eeeeh.
3rd- Kent. HOHO. fallen two ranks from 1st place.
4th- bdae girl, hudson. must be the pressure. hehhehe.

our sushi& bowling party at e!hub. It was such a looongg travel, 3 buses in total.
We bowled till our hands ache. I got 120 points for one of the games! Everyone had their own success moves. HAHAHHAA. worth-mentioning the SHO navel-pierce move. Gotta let Sarah demonstrate that one, she's the best. Unexpected strikes and gutter, everyone gave their all.

for display, we decided to go disco

sushi on conveyor. My favs: unagi(of course!), sweetnsour squid, chawamushi(hot tofu, nothing beats that), we tried everything there.

this time truth&truth was a success. In case you're wondering what happened to the dare, we all choose to take the safer way out and not embarass ourselves more then we should. This time each person comes up with a question( genre not limited) and take turns to answer them. too bad if you pick your own question. Everyone was on a roll and we got to know many saucy and juicy details plus darkest secrets. Its only times like this that you will remember all you've kept from others right? teehee

My stomach hurts so bad coz i keep laughing these few days. Not that i dont on other days, but these few days especially were the ultimatum.

Firstly, with my AED grp girls. Oh btw, IM SO HAAAPPPPY THAT WE'RE DONE WITH THE PRESENTATION. pheeew. and the tutor said that we did a good job so yah, let's hope for the best. Im left with the moral education essay, and this module is over!! Feedback for the previous essay, 'thinking society' was an icing on the cake :) Oh yes, the girls, we are bound to have fits of laughter every now and then throughout our rehearsals and it all started by the error that jiayi made, transforming INTO classroom walls instead of transforming OF classroom walls. It just triggered this laughing fit which takes forever to stop. Thankfully it didnt happen today.

And my HANAYORI- DANGOOO ladies who has been going crazy over the movie trailer far-too-often. They are recruiting me as the newest member when i noe nuts about the show except for the navel-piercing one. HAHAHHA. must do personal chart already. of sugus(sarah has her own version of the song. HAHAHA) and mistaken identity over Encik A(points at Faezah), ain the problem child teeheee and nisa the when-laugh-becomes-bag-slapper. The thing about me is that i am someone who can spend my days 90 percent feeling lost and 100 percent happy, seeing everything around me as an unexplainable beautiful mystery. That is why when things dont go as planned or some-things change unexpectedly, i just go,'its okay, lets move on or let's fix that/ let's go find a solution/ thats coool. I guess my principle in life is simply simple.

As of late, i've been thinking a lot about well, life. Probably too much in depth as i thought it would turn out to be. Its hard to explain the many aspects of what's inside of me. About fulfillment,about friends, about my future plans, about secrets, about my spiritual being. Sometimes i question if i impose this wall to such an extend that people are afraid to speak back at me. Its great that i've been having time off from my other commitments because i feel its time to let go, shortly.

For once, I wanna be like the Italians. The masters of Il bel far niente which means 'the beauty of doing nothing'. Such a sweet expression.

I was nursing a bad flu and infected gums today. dang.
Was supposed to meet up with the gals for badminton but tooo bad, i didnt want to play with a piece of tissue in the other hand. HAHAHA. I still had to go for project meeting in school so no choice, made my way there. The meeting was productive so thankgod the trip was worthit. I seriously cant wait to get this done and over with.JIAYOU grp members!

Kicked start the day by tutoring my p5&p6 kids. Every single week without fail, they will ask whether there will be the word search wksheet for them to do. I kinda make it a point to integrate games with work so that lessons wouldnt be boring. And it seems, so far, it has been a very effective teaching methods. They learn to speak up and share their ideas.Not only that, when i go through answers in the class they are not afraid to voice up and share their answers with the class. A huge improvement from the first day i met them. So im very happy :)

Then we made our way to granny's kenduri. We were early and while waiting for everyone to arrive, we feasted on the wide spread of food. It was a potluck event, there was even PIZZA! Kids running& playing everywhere. So cuuteeee lah. You cannot help but to kiss & touch them everytime they're around you. The thing started around 7ish and ended about an hour and half later. Full KWB meetup after such a long time! We ended up rolling on the floor to snap pics and boy was i unlucky, to always end up out of the frane. bahs. Qazim was saying about how we look like members of the Power Rangers( wow, thats like eons ago! 10000BC>>> 1400 BC>>> 14 and 10 BC( HAHAHAHA, insider joke). Pink, yellow, blue, blueblack and green. woohoo.

Thus i pushed myself these few days to do the very same thing. and i got to finish my first essay, five days earlier than the deadline. woohoo! have started researching for the next one plus doing up the framework for our presentation on cultivating an entrepreneurial society. Any ideas to share?

And i remember having to come to school on several occasions only to find out that there's no lecture/tutorial for the day because the tutors are busy due to seminar week. So much for making the trip all the way to school :(

That does not mean we're not affected. We attended two seminars: first one on monday and the other one today. We got to hear Sanjay Krishnan & Max, two very prominent writers, speak on pramodeya and post-colonial studies. Themes touched on include history, gender and identity. On Pramodeya being a revolutionary writer and carrying it out in a very creative&critical manner.Very thought-provoking stuff which certainly substantiated what I have learnt in the previous semester since it was just an introduction that time. For today, was another session on the thoughts on literature. The -isms. The speaker was very engaging making the two hour session pass really fast. Oh yah, and for two consecutive attempts, i failed to identify who Braginsky was. damn.

As part of my own revolutionary process, i decided to tag along during nisa's second gym session. The one important thing was: TREADMILLS. Just me and the power of running on one. We even managed to try the machines this time round to work the other parts of the body. Feel so energised after that =) we will be doing that more often.

And i love my ladies! We've been having crazy fun these few days. We got to know our secret partner for the Teachers' Day Gift Exchange, played snota& tutti frutti as part of games week organised by club jeux. We already know how to play them both since its what we play when we're in Settler's/ Minds. HOHOHO. we went on a frenzy at the pasar malam in jurong and bought beach dresses(!) to be worn on monday, ate at spagetti-too, wanted to go DAISO but was rushing for time,and because we just found out that it will be a three-day week next week, we've made plans for the other two days. whee~

National Day spent at the padang. We got some NTUC tixs that got us the priviledge to sit and watch the parade close to the excitement. Our patriotic spirits remained despite the drizzle. Fun packs for everyone. Torches display and we were the ones who formed the national flag that was shown on national television. And of course, the fireworks display was what we were all waiting for :)

Tanjong Pagar railway station for dinner and later met Qazim& everyone else to slack at Tanjong Rhu. mygod, we were having a hella fun coming up with names over the event next week(Bedah productions. hehehhe.) and waffles tudung WILL be the next big thing. HOHO. and his friend, whose face will always haunt us. popular huh.

School in one word: overwhelming.
The timetable's very crazy, i realise. Either end very early or start very late. But the fun part is, there's a high chance of friday being a free day for me. All combined classes in small tutorial rooms, claustrophobic. The things you hear about being an experienced teacher. Assignments slowly building up. But im taking it all weelllll.

the lens in my left eye is such a bitch today. For one moment, i thought i lost it and blinkblink i went,only to realise its still there. early for school today because i got a ride to school. A very special person, i bet he's reading this. HOHOHO.

It involved:
0) mode of transportation:scrambler
1)Shirt-rippings because i had such a tough time trying to get on the machine without depending on curbs. Topman as replacement ok! But after a stepbystep lesson on how to do it properly, i mastered it well!!
2) wind blowing rapidly on my face, fantastic.
3) constant mirror checks. helmet destroyed tudung.
4) wheelies&letting go of handle bars(damn gooood)
5) the feeling of being taller than everyone & on a big machine. very thrilling :)
6) dinner at ntu, childhood trails, slurpee, dance moves under my block

Found out:
I cannot ride one, because my toes cant even touch the floor: hanging. Prerequisite not met. boohooo.

Today, home alone with sis. Because the rest of the family is in johor to go visit some sick relative. Packed food home from greenridge shopping centre,(where else huh!) and we get to enjoy our favouritest cheng cheong fun, prolly the best you can find in singapore. dvd & lotsa online stuff to watch again.

Yesterday was QAZIM'S (WOOHOO) birthday celebration! we had cupcakes, so delish,& pizza. He was showing off his muscles ya'll, a product of torture in the army.Gave him the present we got. Had the time to gel up before we snip snapped photos & went crazy over shutter shades.

The much-awaited trip to sentosa today. The itenary for the day includes the luge&skyride(boy, am i excited about this one!), cineblast for some 4D action and picnic at pahlawan beach. The sunny weather was 'the icing on the cake' as it means we can have the sun, sand and sea all together now.

Equipped with our personal stash of food& essentials we met at harbourfront to purchase tixs for the monorail straight up to imbiah lookout for the first thrill ride. It was one-hell-of-a-ride minus the part where we didnt know the locations of the cameras thus the final-pixs were too blah to purchase. hehehe. I imagined myself on a race track, ready to dash&kill.Typical feeza style, Apparently, i got stuck at the exit(!) and the two girls happily left their karts, stood by the side laughing at me while i was trying hard to fiddle and make it work. Thank god, i was rescued to safety. HAHAHA. the headgears were a killer though. Skyride was awesome, hanging your feet high up in the air, at the edge literally. It was a two-three arrangement. Brave souls we are.

Cine-blast with the cool specs y'all. I find it a tad too short nevertheless it was fun coz we were taken through rough terrains with jerks& awesome moves.
After which, Made a quick stop to the merlion tower where we had a chance to enjoy fantastic ice-cream cones. HAHAHA. ok, the movenpick ice-cream was nice too only that i find it too rich. The sun was scorching hot as it was noon by then. We decided to head to pahlawan beach,find a sheltered spot and lay our mats out. Picnic style! nuggets, nisa brought delish sandwiches, brownies(another must-have in the pack), popiah samosa rolls and chips. There were a lot of angmohs basking in the sun too, familys with kids in hand.I just had to swim, so changed and went straight to hit the waves. Sunblocked. Inflatable ball in hand.Bored lifeguard, thought of pulling a prank. hahaha. Sarah&faezah bought a bucketpack and build sandcastles and cute sand structures, hands freely in the sand. Game of cluedo afterwards, wrong accusations and lotsa suspicions. I was Mrs Peacock for the day.

The family went to chinatown today with a mission in mind. There were so many people maaaan. Regretably, i didnt bring my camera along-There were so many picture-worthy sights there. madness.I can feel so much love around, grannys holding hands with little children. A lot of uncles sitting and enjoying their coffees. Mum was saying we should go there on chinese new year, sure more fun.

The man died on Friday: i watched his last lecture on Oprah the other day. Mr Randy Pausch, a computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Such a touching story and he has definitely touched millions through his lecture including myself. Cancer certainly didnt put him down instead makes him look at life from a different light.

I finally met Prasad today at the lrt station to pass him the booklet that i owed him. The one that saved my skin on the last day of my school attachment. Our very own monitor mah, so of course must help those in need. HAHAHA.
Anw, the first ques that he asked me was, "so how sec sch, okay not?" with that big smile on his face. Its gonna totally diff when i bump into him in school soon enough, quite kewl.

Met the ladies at wlds for some smashing action at the court. Our fifteen point takeover didnt even last that very long. But we really sweat it out and worked our arm muscles. After the two hours that we booked was over, we made our way to cwp to tow-pau some donuts and spring rolls home. yummmmy :))

Karaoke with the ladies today at kbox, suntec. Compliments to the place for good service: they actually arranged for our main dishes to be substituted with 2 plates of fruits and made sure our drinks were refilled promptly. I must say the updated english songs were pretty refreshing. We must've each had our moments: be it boyband, billboard hits, love ballads, spanish tunes read: santana, japanese songs(arashi! i know nuts though. lol.). We also managed to put in the finishing touches to our mini-project. Declared the photogenic person of the grp and all-hail the best photo of the year: taken during the time when we had our chalet. To a few more of such meetups before we start school again, yes? :)

I find some people just very hard to read. Like what they're thinking, feeling. Its like i try to understand, till i cant no more. They can double surprise me a lot of the time.
However, there are definitely those who are just very easy to be with.
I like those who make me laugh so hard till i cry or develop pain in the stomach. I like those who i can talk hours with about everything and anything. I like those who ask for opinions about stuff and acknowledge that we can different views based on them. I like those who are honest enough to say what they really feel. I like those who are not afraid to give compliments to others. I like those who are not afraid to ask when in doubt. I like those who know when to talk and when not to.
Basically the list can go on but let me stop here.

So this was where i went to on saturday:

Everyone in the family wanted to get books so we thought it would be a great idea to stop by expo and take a look at what they have there. It was crazy, i must say. There were too many people in the hall, too many books to look at plus the fact was, they were everywhere. So to get a good book will all depend on your luck on where you choose to put your attention to. Nevertheless, we each got a few books in hand and quickly made our way to the checkout counter.

It was raining heavily outside so we were stranded in expo for a while. Burger King lunch, picnic style.

Following that, was Little India. Sis will be having her Racial Harmony celebration in school the next day and since it would be her last year, she thought of putting on something different. Saree or maybe a punjabi suit. I feel so happy just looking at the psychadelic colours around. It was an eye-feast. Sis ended up buying a soft purple punjabi top which definitely fitted her nicely.

I feel like a robot on maximum charge, well that happens on every saturday. HAHAHA.
Met the F4s in town. Ice-cream at swensens and a 'spoon' incident involving me and kent which i do not wish to elaborate here. Kinda embarassing but weellllll, i supported my stand pretty well and made a mental note of it.Shuk was on in a high mode aka cranky mode due to a lack of sleep. Its freaking entertatining to watch his antics. HAHAHAH. We ran out of ideas on what to do plus the rain prevented us from walking aimlessly around so ---- spur of the moment, we cabbed to marina wanting to bowl. But that didnt happen either coz of the 1hr waiting list.

Sunday: granny's place. Hairdresser: snip snip and i was back to my previous hairdo and loving it :)), St Andrew's Community Hospital to visit awan's grandpa Uncle Tung Hing who was recovering from a bad fall. Very cute man. Dinner at simpang bedok after that, 10 of us in total. Chinese style: Dim Sum,steamed pau, satay & Chicken feet( ermmm, dun like it at all), hor fun, braised chicken. yummylicious.

Practically zonked out when i reached home.

FINALLY,i went for a run around the canal today. yeaps, canal run, so peejay. But this canal is the one near home. And you know what, i feel so energised and refreshed after that. They were right about the power of running! No surprises for guessing that my stamina has gone down, had to walk after each round to catch my breath. But woohhoo determined to make this my routine for the next three weeks.

And because i wanted to get myself a new bag and a much needed pair of shoes, i dragged mum and bro along to town, since they're making their way to kallang later anw. Young boys definitely hate shopping, as proven by my bro's antics. We let him sit at the chairs located in the malls while we looked around. PSP and a COCO magazine kept him company. His only interest came in the form of game shops that we pass by along the way.

Enough of browsing&buying, we then made our way to send bro for his 730 tae-kwon-do class. Dad was waiting for us there from work and while waiting for bro, we made our way to arab street for some hot tea and sweet desserts. It was perfect- The place bursting with night energy. :))

We were making plans to go for the nlb bookfair at expo this sat and maybe squeeze in some kite-flying. wheee~

But I always find venezuela ladies very gorgeous. Plus they always top the Universe Pageants.

How interesting will it be if i could arrange a session with a fortune teller/fengshui master to kinda get a 'peek' into my future. Not that i would believe in them, but i wonder what they would speak of my future. The ridiculous similarities/differences or waaayy overboard ideas that could arise.

Speaking of future, let's now touch about my past. Technically what happened in that last week when i had my school experience. I promised to blog about that but really there's nothing much for me to elaborate on. Clearly, it was a very enjoyable and enriching experience. I made new 'friends' and learnt a lot from my CT. The students were a mixed bunch; we have the very noisy grp of kids while there were those at the other end of the spectrum.I kept chuckling at the jokes that they make in class: cant help it laaaaah. Overall, i guess teaching at that level is not such a bad idea after all despite having to overcome the teenage-challenges, more behavioural and emotional.

In the course of clearing up my inbox, apparently My blog's been listed as a popular(?!) site since i received an email encouraging me to join a women's blog community where with the badge that they will award me with, i can earn points for priviledges and increase blog traffic. Maybe this could be the starting point to me becoming a net celebrity! HOHOHO. just for the record, i didnt sign up. Prolly every other person got that email as well.

successfully installed my new router. goodbye 75 bucks. hello to a smaller and more compact router. woohhooo. Thanks deeyan for the selection tip. I had trouble choosing between two. I got that during our evening out at spaghetti-too for baked rice and her much-craved spaghetti. We had sooo much fun and i miss that girl after weeks of not hanging out.Had time to clear up my makeup box too. Well, it didnt take that long anyway since i do not have many makeup items to begin. Just the basics.

Saturday was execution day for the surprise party we had planned for nisa. There were a few hiccups here and there but it was a BLAST!! Well, we almost had a heartattack the night before when nisa wanted to meet us on sunday instead. Imagine the shocker as we had booked a dinner place and had everything else ready. Thankfully with bright heads around, everything went back as planned. The surprise starts off with a treasure hunt with us being the treasures.HOHO. nisa and bodyguard(faezah) will have to locate us at our respective venues using the clues given to them at different points.5 clues in total with the final stop at Sour Puss for cake-cutting and dinner. She had a tough time i must say but it was all for the fun of it.

It was a black and red affair: burfdae girl's favourite colours. Cookie-cake with sparklers courtesy of the staff. credits to ain and that creative streak in her for the Pretty Card-booklet. Present came in the form of a survival kit box with items in what else but black&red. She definitely looked like a princess for the day with the kiddish crowm we got for her at the party-shop. Adding to the celebratory mood were fireworks(!) due to ndp rehersals. Guys came later to join us, them and their antics. Over laughters&updates, we savoured sparkly drinks and food. Again,HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY DEAR! Have a fun-filled year ahead :))

I love it when i've had a productive day. Reason being it shows that im focused and my time management is at tiptop leveeeel. Yesterday was definitely an example of a productive day.
Only that it happened after a dramatic turn of events in the train that made me promise to have 'emergency snacks' in my bag at all times.Fainting spells aint funny y'all. Trust me to leave home having eaten nothing and feeling dehydrated.

Panicked frens directed me straight to waffles town for warm waffles+ hot choc.I felt soooo much better after that.With no time to waste, We had a quick discussion and started going to places to get what we wanted.
Details and identities cannot be revealed because this is part 1 of a 2 part series.We will be putting finishing touches to the whole event these few days and hopefully everything goes out as planned. but hey, the magic ball says, it will be! So i shall trust it, one hundred percent.:)

Today went smoothly at the sec sch today, in fact i can say, i enjoyed myself very much. Three more days and i am definitely blogging about everything and anything after everything ends.

My brain's in a shock. It hardly has enough time to adjust to new changes/environment and maybe this is the cause to all the moodiness.

In a nutshell- Sat: toa payoh to tanjong rhu(bright and early this time round, the atmosphere was so different) to kembangan for dinner to grandma's place(ghim moh) to pak busu's house(dover) to west coast park(pitch dark, we laid mats and tried to eat packed supper but failed because everyone was bitten by ants all over).

we all just love spending time together in the dark, i guess. HAHAHAHA.

Secondary school experience next. Im very curious to see the demographic and how everything functions. Expect the unexpected.

Yesterday i went home with four vanguard sheets rolled up in my hands and went off to meet a friend. We watched 'Wanted' which had a complicated plot and a disappointing ending. Everytime Japan was mentioned, it reminded me a lot about Japan Hour which i never fail to watch every weekend. In fact, the whole family's a big fan. Why? because it enthalls us, all the pretty view and fresh seafood, the expressions they give with every bite of fresh sashimi or homemade miso.

back to the vanguards, my CT needed help in making charts for her p3 class. On nouns, adjectives and action words. She needed visuals for her own observation tomorrow and since i was always doing nothing in the trainee resource room,i gladly took it up plus its been such a long time since i embarked on school 'artworks'. So today when i brought my vanguards back,one done, one half-done and the other still blank. The rest went----
"waaaah fizah, that's a really nice chart. efficient somemore. how long you took to do that last night ah? eeeh eeeh, this friday i got my own observation, suuuureee can help me do one that looks just as good...."

my answer: sure can!!!! At a minimal charge. HAHAHAHAHA.

Oh abt Praba, he's another trainee who got chickenpox the day school experience started. So poor thing. He's coming back on fri and we've all been making jokes on where he should sit(absurd locations like PE store).

Other than that, everything's good in school. It seems so fast, three full days there. Today, contact time was slightly different. It was a 'teachers' fun day' so we had a mini race among consortiums. skipping, capteh, chopsticks&marbles and a lot of running. That was a breather from all the long meetings. heh.

school experience

In many more blog entries to come, you'll hear more and more about school because School Experience officially starts today. woohhhoooo! The long-awaited two weeks is finally here after all the induction process etc etc. Today went very smoothly, i had to observe four periods in total and had a long break in between. Picked up a few teaching techniques and tips which i found very useful and exchanged ideas/feedback with my CT. The other trainees are a crazy bunch despite being 'in the zone' as they had to start teaching and preparing their lesson plans. We were enjoying the teachers' resource room that we had all by ourselves :))

And because we'll be having some exercise session during contact time this wednesday, i decided to splurge on a pair of sportshoes. Burned a hole in my pocket but to comfort myself, (1)i needed that as a booster to start running and (2)replacing my wrecked pair of shoes has been number one on my list in order to do number (1).

Tomorrow is another day i look forward to. cheers!
